Search tips
Found too much?
- Try using additional keywords, e.g. Use 'human body nervous system' rather than just 'human body'. On some search engines you can limit your search to just sites from Australia.
Found too little?
- Try using different words. e.g. for information on asylum seekers try also 'refugees', 'immigrants' or 'boat people'.
- Explore our del.icio.us/usefulresources ...
Are you still stuck?
- Try Google help central.
- It is possible that the information you need is not on the Internet. Try talking with your teacher/local librarian or ask us for other places to look.
Don’t forget that not everything is on the web. You should also think about using books. Your local public or school library should have some encyclopaedias and other reference works which are often good starting points. To find other books on your topic visit your local library, or try searching Libraries Australia, which is a combined catalogue of many Australian public, state and university libraries.
